Concerned, then delighted!

I was concerned when I got these roots in the mail. They looked downright anemic and sad. I had purchased toward the end of the season and figured I got the crumbs of what was left. Stuck them in some dirt and watered anyway. A week later a beautiful little green leaf came up from each root. A couple weeks after that there were full, glossy horseradish leaves. I haven't dug these up to harvest yet, but telling by the health of what is growing so far, I think we will be pleasantly surprised.
